"Let My People Go." F. W. Bird. "Let My People Go."
Boston: Press of the Commercial Printing House, 1862. First edition. Originally published in Norfolk Co. Journal of December 14, 1861, republished with slight additions and corrections. An abolotionist calls for emancipation of slaves, making religious comparisons to Moses leading the slaves out of Egypt, as does the old Negro Spiritual. A near fine, eight-page booklet that shows evidence of having once been bound, but is no longer. Small, faint stamp appears at the bottom of the title page and there are a few light marks of soiling to the back.
