THE BOOK OF MEAN PEOPLE; [signed by both Morrisons, mother and son].

New York: Hyperion Books for Children, (2002). First edition. The Noble Prize-winning author's second book for children written with her son Slade. SIGNED BY BOTH MORRISONS on the title page. Slender, square small 4to (or tall 8vo) pictorial paper boards; red endpapers; unpaginated; colorful illustrations throughout by Lemaitre. "Sometimes people are mean intentionally, sometimes not. But this wise child figures out how to rise above all meanness in the end" (dust jacket flap). Crisp and nearly fine with small abrasion to front endpaper upper right corner (approximately 1" x .5") and few inconspicuous edge bumps; in bright, near fine dust jacket with internal archival tape repair to one small tear (upper rear panel). Scarce in the first edition, let alone in the dust jacket. Exceedingly so signed.
