Walter Sullivan (1924-2006) was an author, critic, longtime Vanderbilt University professor, authority on Southern literature, and founding member of The Fellowship of Southern Writers, of which Dickey was a charter member. He and Dickey were great friends, as recounted in Sullivan's memoir, NOTHING GOLD CAN STAY (2006). Fine in near fine, supplied dust jacket (from another copy) with few tiny edge rubs and internal archival tape repair to two small tears.
