Goudy 5/1/39 Los A.” Leura Dorothy Bevis (1904-1996) was a bookseller at Dawsons Bookshop and later an associate editor at the University of California Press where she started “The Pierian Spring.” Collects 27 original contributions from various printers – most notably women – which were prepared separately and then bound together.
