A LOVE FOR FOUR VOICES: Homage to Franz Joseph Haydn.

(Hitchin, Hertfordshire): Mandeville, 1983. First UK edition, limited to 450 copies. Although not indicated as such these 10 copies were from Hecht's own collection, presumably sent to him by the publishers. His cycle of poems first appearing in the magazine, Poetry, and published here during his reign as Poet Laureate (1982 to 1984). An interesting assemblage with each copy slightly different from the rest. The paperwraps covers come in various shades and the title and colophon pages are either both printed in black and red or both printed in black and blue so that, for instance, there are 2 copies in pink paperwraps: one with red on title and colophon pages and one with blue. A touch of minor creasing to overhanging edges otherwise fine with publisher's prospectus.
