First edition thus: number 7 of only 100 numbered copies of this fine press limited edition portfolio which includes a broadside of Jeffers poem "Shine, Perishing, Republic" and four black-and-white photos each of which is archivally mounted and SIGNED BY THE PHOTOGRAPHER [Broomfield A98]. This copy includes 2 copies of the broadside poem, several copies of the prospectus, one of which is SIGNED BY THE PUBLISHER, and a 2-page TYPED LETTER SIGNED from the publisher in which he elucidates the photograph selection process and provides his thoughts on each one. Broadside poem(s), photographs, front matter, etc., each measure 11 x 14". Laid in publisher's folio-sized deep-blue linen covered clamshell case with parchment spine. Fine. Quite scarce.
