ONE MAN'S DARK: A Book of Poems.

Port Townsend, Washington: Copper Canyon Press, 2017. First edition. Printout of brief email correspondence with collector Allen Mears laid in. Manning speaks of his upcoming reading at the local library ("Across from our library is a run-down auto parts shop. A perfect setting.") and acknowledges that the drawing of a windmill at the back of the book is by him, explaining the "TG" on the "fin" is for "Tibby Gooch" (Gooch's barn "powered by a windmill that grows like a sunflower beside it" figures prominently in the poem "Cathedral Up on Posey Ridge," pp. 83-88). Small 4to gilt-stamped quarter cloth; illustrated paper boards; 93 pages; issued without a dust jacket. Fine condition.
