New York: Random House, 1931. First edition. ONE OF 50 SIGNED COPIES DESIGNATED FOR REVIEW, issued in addition to and, one would assume, prior to the 500 copies in the regular signed/limited issue (Broomfield A14). Publisher's review slip laid in with projected publication date December 7, 1931. SIGNED BY JEFFERS on limitation page with "Review" written in black ink (in place of a number). Quarto cinnamon Tokugawa paper over flexible boards backed in natural vellum. Broomfield doesn't call for a slipcase for copies sent for review but one is present with this copy, though split at the top as it is too tight. Very nearly fine with just mild aging to spine; in an otherwise very good slipcase.
