Hecht's final published poem, an "aubade" -- a morning love song, traditionally "from a door or window to a sleeping woman," (Wikipedia). Printed for his reading at Colorado College on October 14, 2004, just one week before his death. Oblong sheet, deckled on right edge only; 21 x 9.75", folded twice to make four pages and cover flap. Finely printed in marbled blues and white above a crop of yellow and orange discs, reminiscent of night flowing into dawn (or perhaps vice versa). Fine.
