YOUNG LONIGAN: A Boyhood in Chicago Streets; [second issue].
New York: Vanguard Press, 1932 [1935]. First edition, second issue. Published from the first printing sheets with a 4-page "Foreword to the 1935 edition" by Robert Morss Lovett inserted before the original introduction by Frederic M. Thrasher. The first book in the Studs Lonigan trilogy. 8vo blue cloth boards with orange front and spine labels printed in black; top edge plain; 308 pages. Very good to near fine with few areas of subtle discoloration to boards, endpapers tanned at edges (due to offset from binding materials), and touch of staining to upper margins pp. vi and vii. Lacking the dust jacket.
