ROCKY (THE 1976 MOVIE): Combined Continuity List. Sylvester Stallone. ROCKY (THE 1976 MOVIE): Combined Continuity List.
[Los Angeles]: Arlene Cooper Service, 1976. First edition of the Combined Conitnuity List for the award-winning 1976 movie. Written by and starring Sylvester Stallone, "Rocky" tells the story of Rocky Balboa, an uneducated but kind-hearted working class Italian-American boxer working in the slums of Philadelphia where he starts out as a small-time club fighter and later gets a shot at the world heavyweight championship. Also starring Talia Shire as Adrian, Burt Young as Adrian's brother Paulie, and Burgess Meredith as Rocky's trainer. Made on a budget of just over $1 million and shot in 28 days, this sleeper hit earned $225 million in global box office receipts, became the highest-grossing film of 1976, and went on to win three Oscars, including Best Picture. Considered one of the greatest sports films ever made, "Rocky" was ranked second (after "Raging Bull") by the American Film Institute in 2008. This "Combined Continuity List" contains cut-by-cut descriptions of all camera shots, including movements of cameras and actors within the shots and the dialogue spoken. Primarily used as a delivery requirement between production companies and studios, Combined Continuities serve as a legal description of a film or television project for copyright purposes and are used for dubbing, subtitling and closed-captioning work. A good "Continuity," especially a "Combined Continuity" such as this one, provides a comprehensive transcription of the finished film and is often the only archived, word-by-word, shot-by-shot, scene-by-scene, record of a film. 142 mimeographed 8.5 x 14" pages printed on rectos only; bound by metal clasp at top and with light-green front cover page. Some curling to corners of first few leaves but still very good or better. COMBINED CONTINUITY LIST FOR THE OSCAR-WINNING MOVIE.
