Almost unanimously praised by both US and UK critics, as was her work in general. Made into a 1988 film for which Billie Whitelaw won the 1988 Evening Standard British Film Award for best actress. Near fine with light foxing on top edge and pastedowns; in near fine dust jacket with light foxing on verso. Jacket is price-clipped with 3.95 pounds sticker added. SCARCE SIGNED.
