THE SECRETS OF THE BELL WITCH. J. M. Hockenheimer, G. W. Boswell, J. H. Howell. THE SECRETS OF THE BELL WITCH.
[No-place: no-publisher], (1971). First edition. INSCRIBED to the poet Louis Daniel Brodsky, "Here, Louis, from one scholar to another. JM Hockenheimer." The precursor to his 2014 book of the same name focusing on one of the most documented hauntings in American history, the Bell Witch Legend of Tennessee. There have been several movies based, at least in part, on the legend, including "The Blair Witch Project" (1999); "Bell Witch Haunting" (2004), "An American Haunting" (2005); "Bell Witch: The Movie" (2007); and "The Bell Witch Haunting" (2013); as well as a recent TV series, "Cursed: The Bell Witch," based on the latest members of the Bell family trying to end the curse (Wikipedia). 38pp; white, stapled paperwraps printed in black on front only; with cover serving as title page. Staples a little rusted, otherwise fine. ONE OF THE MOST DOCUMENTED HAUNTINGS IN AMERICAN HISTORY.
