Chicago: Reilly & Lee, (1911 & 1912) [circa 1970s]. Later printings being facsimile editions of the first and only 2 volumes in Baum's intended departure from Oz which, after less than hoped for sales, he abandoned. Illustrated by John R. Neill, the "Imperial Illustrator of Oz," with black-and-white drawings both full-plate and in the text. Small 4to cloth covered boards; in colorful glossy dust jackets. Fine in very good to near fine dust jackets with foxing primarily to flap folds (extending to flaps on first volume) and few small nicks and tears. But still a bright and attractive set.
