New York: 1954 - 1956. An original playbill, a souvenir playbook (magazine-style keepsake offered for sale at each play); and an original ticket stub for each one of these 1950's Broadway musicals. THE TEAHOUSE OF THE AUGUST MOON: Martin Beck Theatre; starring Burgess Meredith; ticket stub for Tuesday evening November 16 1954 performance. (Also includes sealed will-call envelope labeled "R. K. Jackson," we assume with the payment receipt inside). BY THE BEAUTIFUL SEA: Imperial Theatre; starring Shirley Booth; ticket stub for Wednesday matinee November 17 1954 performance. (Souvenir Book cover by Hirschfeld.) KISMET: Ziegfeld Theatre; starring Alfred Drake & Doretta Morrow; ticket stub for Monday evening November 22 1954 performance. (Souvenir Book cover by Hirschfeld.) PETER PAN: Winter Garden; starring Mary Martin; ticket stub for Wednesday evening November 24 1954 performance. FANNY: Majestic Theatre; starring Florence Henderson; ticket stub for Thursday evening November 24 1955 performance (on Thanksgiving Day). THE MOST HAPPY FELLA: Imperial Theater; starring Robert Weede; ticket stub for the Friday evening November 23 1956 performance. Overall very good to near fine with only scattered mild creasing and light soiling. It’s interesting seeing the vintage ads and the original ticket stubs with their low, low ticket prices.
