New York: Harcourt Brace & Co., (1935). First edition. O'Hara's second novel set in New York, this one loosely based on the life of socialite and flapper Starr Faithfull, whose unsolved death in 1931 became a tabloid sensation (Wikipedia). Adapted for the 1960 movie of the same name starring Elizabeth Taylor, who won an Acaademy Award for her portrayal of Gloria Wandrous. Veryy good or better with spine lettering a bit faded but readable and mild creasing at base of spine; in good to very good dust jacket with some rubbed creasing, chipping at head of spine taking out author's name, and few chips elsewhere, though not affecting any lettering.
