The 7.5 x 10 inch folder contains 12 illustrations printed by Lynton R. Kistler from woodcut plates by Landacre. The 12 striking illustrations are on white paper while the printed folder housing them and Ritchie's pamphlet is printed on cream-colored laid paper. The 12 composers are Beethoven, Wagner, Debussy, Franck, Tschaikovsky, Bach, Brahms, Mozart, Schubert, Verdi, Stravinsky and Sibelius. The pamphlet's artwork came into being in the 1930's as an advertising effort by the classical music station KECA as a means of building a bigger audience. The edition is SIGNED ON THE PAMPHLET by Ward Ritchie, the lithographer Lynton R. Kistler, and Carl Haverlin, the owner of Invierno Press, who, in the 1930's, was KECA's commercial manager. All items are fine or better.
