Illustrated with a number of sepia tone photographs of the Dohenys, who were avid collectors and supporters of the arts. Book measures 6.375 x 9.6", printed by Richard J. Hoffman in black on cream-colored paper and bound by Bela Blau in black cloth backed decorated boards illustrated in brown and yellow showing oil wells, which is how Ed Doheny acquired his fortune. Title stamped on the spine in gold. Ward Ritchie did quite a bit of printing for the Dohenys and Mrs. Doheny was the sponsor of William Everson's Psalter. The book is as new.
