FIRST VOLUME: 8vo gilt-stamped deep-red imitation leather boards measuring 9.5" tall with author's and publisher's names in a script-like font. Dust jacket unevenly trimmed to fit, presumably by the publisher, as this volume shorter than the signed one below. From the collection of Allen K. Mears with his bookplate on front endpaper. (Fine in dust jacket with clear tape to spine ends and corners otherwise near fine.) SECOND VOLUME: Number 81 of an unknown number of copies SIGNED BY HOTCHKISS on title page. 8vo gilt-stamped brown imitation leather boards measuring 9.625" tall with author's and publisher's names in more traditional italics. Dust jacket not trimmed. (Fine in fine dust jacket with faint stain on spine.) Both volumes unaccountably scarce.
