Second state as usually seen with "fiend" p.8:15. 8vo red cloth stamped in gilt and black; illustrated tissue-guarded frontispiece; 190 illustrations in text. Good to very good with old repair to inner hinges, red at spine mellowed to tan, spine ends beginning to fray, spine gilt dulled but readable, small gouge in cloth at front spine gutter and a little fading to edges of front board. Despite its flaws a crisp, clean copy. Scarce in collectible condition.
