All 55 copies with leaf SIGNED BY MAILER BEFORE HIS DEATH IN 2007 tipped in at front. According to Michael Lennon, of the 15 presentation copies, 5 went to him and wife Donna; 5 to Lucas, the editor; and 5 to the book's designer, Giles Hoover. There were also a trade edition of 100 copies. Both the limited and trade editions were offered exclusively to members of the Norman Mailer Society pre-publication. A meticulously researched year-by-year chronology of Mailer's life and works revised and expanded from the 2000 edition with over 400 new entries, an expanded bibliography, and many photos. Quarto gilt-stamped red paper boards, 468 pages including index; profusely illustrated with black-and-white and color photographs of Mailer et al and full-color reproductions of book and magazine covers. Dust jacket has photograph of Mailer on front and "The Good Daughter," a painting by the artist Danielle Mailer (daughter of Norman Mailer).on back, as in the trade edition, but adds "Signature" in red to the front panel. Fine in fine dust jacket. Quite scarce.
