This copy SIGNED AND DATED BY BUKOWSKI IN SILVER INK, "Charles Bukowski 12-14-63" and one of 777 copies, most of which were signed. Issued as "Gypsy Lou Series No. 1" by Jon and Louise Webb's Loujon Press. The book was hand-fed letterpress printed one sheet at a time by the Webbs on varied-colored papers of differing widths and bound in remarkably executed paperwraps. An extraordinary piece of contemporary American book making. Issued in yellow envelope-style stiff paperwraps with thin-cork overlay printed in red and black on front; black printed spine and flap which is illustrated with a photograph of Bukowski; and black and purple printed back cover.
