New York: The Viking Press, 1945. First edition. The story is set during the Great Depression in Monterey, California, on a street lined with sardine canneries that is now known as Cannery Row. The story revolves around the people living there. The actual location was Ocean View Avenue, later renamed "Cannery Row" in honor of the book. A movie starring Nick Nolte and Debra Winger film version was released in 1982. The book is the first issue buff cloth is fine with the barest wear, in dust jacket with minor wear and rubbing on corners and spine ends, repair tape on verso on top spine, and back cover white portions aged a bit.
