BLOOD WEDDING; [Bodas de Sangre].

BLOOD WEDDING; [Bodas de Sangre].

Norfolk, Conn. New Directions, 1939. First edition in English. Translated from the Spanish by Gilbert Neiman. A play by the Spanish poet, playwright, and theatre director. Lorca was executed by Franco's Nationalist forces at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War; his body has never been found. An unusual production--gathered signatures stapled between 2 sheets of plain card stock folded into an orange dust jacket printed in red and black on front only. Fine in dust jacket slightly faded at spine and lightly chipped at spine ends but otherwise fine. Scarce.
