Kennedy's essays on his view of the challenges of the time, which grew out of his speeches, travel, and experiences as Senator and Attorney General. Thomas "Tommy" Corcoran (1900-1981) was one of several New Deal advisors in Franklin D. Roosevelt's brain trust and, later, a close friend and advisor to Lyndon B. Johnson. Nicknamed "Tommy the Cork" by Roosevelt, he held sway even afer leaving the White House. Near fine in dark blue cloth with very minor rubbing on corners and spine ends, in about very good dust jacket with spine ends and tips rubbed and worn and few tiny tears.
