The eventual book included 966 pages covering the "complete panorama of the greatest struggle in human history" illustrated with official photographs, maps, records and documents, and included a color plate frontis of Iwo Jima, 1945, the iconic image of the war. This Salesman's Dummy has two "Service Record" pages, a contents page (listing 100 chapters), statements of National leaders, 10 pages of text and 90 photos (on 32 pages). Thin octavo blue cloth, plain spine, gilt-stamped boards, with example of spine on rear board.
