Albany, N.Y. S. Shaw, 1824. First edition. An early Albany imprint. Wright credits Edward Hull as the author. The book was copyrighted by the publisher Shaw but is also credited by some to John Johnson, who was the printer. A narrative tale: Edgar and Caroline, after 280 pages or so, do marry (as much as I got out of the book). No auction records. Recently rebound in cloth with leather spine label. Foxed throughout but not too darkly, so the text is still relatively clean. EARLY FICTION.
