Sculp") and Conrad B. Link on front pastedown and endpaper, respectively; penciled signature of Ruby Fleischmann above her bookplate. According to the website of the Buckinghamshire Gardens Trust, Fleischmann was Chairman of the National Gardens Scheme and, "at its peak," her own garden was "notable for its early collection of 'old fashioned' and species rose varieties .... comparable with Vita Sackville West's collection at Sissinghurst, as well as other renowned collections." She is mentioned in a number of horticultural works, most notably in those of Graham Stuart Thomas. Link was an author and professor of horticulure notable for his research on the breeding of poinsettia and kalanchoe. Small bookshop label of K J Bredon's in Brighton to bottom front pastedown.
