Lemmonnier with additions from the works of Cuvier, Dumaril, Lacepede, etc. With 31 full-page plates, each with numerous illustrations. Original decorative ribbed brown cloth boards, blind-stamped on front and back and with gilt lettering on the spine. About very good with only moderate wear to boards but foxing throughout. With the exception of the frontis, the interesting (though erratically numbered) plates are inserted at the end.
